About Us
Smiling, singing, exploring the outdoors, and learning through play and discovery are at the heart of Gan Sameach (pronounced ghan-sa-may-ak). Gan Sameach Preschool and Daycare is a small developmental preschool offered as a program of Temple Beth Torah, Fremont, CA. Gan Sameach, meaning “Happy Garden,” is a wonderful place for children ages 2 to entry into the 1st grade to grow emotionally, socially, cognitively and physically.
Gan Sameach is proud to offer the following:
J Flexible Scheduling - Children may attend 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week. The school offers half-day preschool in the morning (9am-1pm) as well as supplemental daycare creating all day coverage (8am-6pm). Drop-in care at an hourly rate is available (space permitting).
J 1 to 7 Teacher to Child Ratio - This low ratio enables teachers to provide individual learning opportunities and a true sense of community.
J Diversity - Our current student body represents people of many different religious and cultural backgrounds.
J Jewish Experiences - In addition to learning about art, music, science, and social studies, the children learn about Jewish traditions and observances to nurture a positive sense of Judaism and its values.
J Outdoor Learning - Our gardens, which offer wonderful learning opportunities, have been declared an official Wildlife Sanctuary.
J Year-Round Program - In addition to our school program, which follows the calendar of Fremont Unified School District, we also offer Summer Camp. For more information, see the Summer Camp section.
